Who among us hasn’t daydreamed about moving away from Lagos for good and leaving all the stress behind?
When your coworkers are at peak levels of irritating, you’ve spent another 3 hours in traffic, and Lagos has just almost killed you with frustration, don’t you just like to longingly consider packing up and moving away from Lagos?
To the abroad if you have funds, or just a quiet house in your village where you can be a millionaire without Lagos expenses sapping your funds.
But we all know we’re not going to do it, and not for lack of opportunity. It’s because for whatever reason, Lagos has our hearts (and our wallets) but that’s a story for another day.
These are all the things you know you’d miss if you moved away from Lagos:
- The Open Market Feel
Lagos just has this open market feel in general in that there is always something for sale around every corner. Whether it’s food or some random household item. You can even find pets for sale in traffic jams! That’s something that you would definitely miss if you moved away from Lagos.
- The Adrenaline Rush
Lagos always has the feel that there’s something cooking. Things move really fast around here and it gets the blood pumping. There’s this drive and hustle in the air in Lagos that is unmatched anywhere else.
- The Food
Whether it’s street food, buka food or continental food from different cultures, Lagos has the best and the most delicious of them all.
- The Drama
There is really no place like Lagos when it comes to drama. There is always a fight or source of gist brewing at every corner. Your neighbors, colleagues, even the celebrities contribute to it all and it makes the state a very entertaining one to live in.
