Here in Lagos, or Nigeria for that matter, we don’t have a one-stop phone number that we can call for every form of emergency, like “911” for the Americans and “999” for the British people
However, there are a number of important emergency phone numbers you should have so that you can call if the need arises.
Some of them are a bit long, as they are of the 080 or 01 variety like all Nigerian phone numbers, but you don’t need to commit them to memory, you can just program them into your phone immediately, or bookmark this page and call it up if the need arises.
